This image speaks to me more today that even in the beginning of the pandemic when I was creating free art for nurses as a way to show appreciation and selflessness. This image documents the personal change I was experiencing. How suddenly the only news I had exposure to was being delivered via LED screens. With the stay at home directive ing Georgia in place, the queer reality began to form a very existential reality. The line art was created and given to Kara, a longterm facility nurse with the elderly. Kara was providing the love and care for many peoples' beloved grandparents and parents and brothers or sisters when their families couldn't.
