As a female artist, other female artists journeys are extremely interesting and relevant to me. We don’t all get to where we are going in a straight line. So, when I can learn from a warrior, I’m all ears. This is my artistic impression during Aretha Franklin’s live album, “Amazing Grace.”
When Aretha Franklin recorded her most lucrative album because she was struggling with alcohol, her second marriage was in a state of emergency, and her lust for life had waned. She had made a huge name for herself, but during that time, she “was lost.”
It was getting back into church, to her roots, where she knew she’d not falter that drove Aretha Franklin to record a gospel service. It was the power of people rejoicing in God or goodness. The congregation’s exuberant excitement that propelled Aretha’s performance to new vocal heights.
Whether you're drinking your morning coffee, evening tea, or something in between – this mug's for you! It's sturdy and glossy with a vivid print that'll withstand the microwave and dishwasher.
