Today, after cleaning my grill utensils, I needed to put them away. Right? Right! Wow…the box was instantly an IQ test. How do they all fit back in? Then it dawned on me…why the freak do there need to be so many devices to cook meat? All man really needed after he discovered or “invented” fire was a spit. Why has cooking gotten so complicated? And if man is inventing, why not less complicated? Does ease of invention always have to somehow gobble up the time man does free? Isn’t the Container Store the greatest paradox of humans cleverness with the cumbersome side effects?
Don’t know…just think I got a lot of responsibility and not much perk to a stick I can just throw back into the woods when the meat is cooked. Someone close to me used to say “all this technology is killing me.” Well, ditto on the grill utensil set!
