The hand self portraits have graphic, cultural, and personal meaning. My hand alive and tree-like. It’s impetuous from a reflective memory. The trees from elementary school, leaves falling, and boxes. An essence of innocence captured as one particular primary school project of poems about nature does for me today. It's cover art is of a girl beneath a tree reading. Are captured with an overall color scheme, simplistic design, and the use of a hand—think we all got either our hands or our child's pressed in clay or paint for wall art or Thanksgiving turkey decorations.

Yet, the interior is complicated. Full of biological references, systematic structures, and a nod to the generations of information and reiterations. Contained by the slightest of boundaries coexist life’s micro and macro entanglement between matter and energy.

My work are my cultural and scientific observations, designed to spark conversation and connectivity between ourselves. My work on your wall finds a new audience. My coffee cup given as a gift might speak to fifty people before it’s utilitarian service ends.
