CUP #65 Coffee Cup Collection

Well...I’ve hit the 65 in 365 days 365 coffee cups. Only 300 more cups to create. However, I’ve been patiently waiting to break some boundaries with my “inane” daily documentation. Today, I was working on Collective Good #27 one in a series of art pieces I created for healthcare workers last year when the pandemic first hit.

Everyday as individuals we are asked to follow the rules of the road, the family, even perhaps guidelines for appropriate office behavior. Today, I’m challenging a rule I established over 64 of the past cups. I’ve used both the 11oz and 15oz to showcase Collective Good #27. In fact, I didn’t even try too hard to line it up or use the entire image. Stacked on on top of the other...you can spin the cups and get a feel for the work. Separately, they have color and style and an incomplete story in common. Why I think that is probably the best description of human individuals. Enjoy, and so the sculptural project begins a new journey.

Collective Good #27 Is about our entwined destiny with nature, and how the Covid pandemic. It is sweeping evidence of human adaption. It's more than subduing a virus; it's hope for the future. It's a template for environmental responsibility. With the break in human consumption, scientist could see the smog part, the corral reefs revive, the manatee return.

No one can say, "people will never stop driving their cars" because they will, if life is at stake. "Big business runs everything and everyone." It doesn't. March 2020, people choose people. Governors, Mayors, employers, ministers, principles, neighbors, friends, parents, teenagers, and children of parents across the globe are choosing one another.
