Growing up in my house bodily functions were…well…not discussed. Nor were they joked about. Even humor wasn’t permitted to disarm the humiliation bodily functions would, and frankly from my families culture, should, abound if and when a bowel moment threatened. As I aged and my own adult and parental common sense a massed, I realized I’d suffered quite a lot of shame and anxiety over a truly silly concern.

In my mid forty’s I began to explore the freedoms of pooping in public places. Yes, perhaps too much information, but then again, perhaps not. Perhaps, someone else is turning red and saying, “yes, I too decided I’d rather take a trip to the symphony ladies restroom and use the facilities then have gastro intestinal cramps the entire second half of show. 

It was during this time of being a freedom fighter that I started to think I should save and entire generations of girls and boys from the same silent suffering. Everybody Poops by WRITER is an incredible tool and emotional service to an entire generation. The concept cultural validation on site became intriguing to me. I imagined a wallpaper  could deliver the encouragement and positive reassurance right when it was most needed. The illustrated repeating design on CUP #66 is almost the exact image I’d conjured.
