More than cats, dogs are human’s work buddy, work force, or unpaid labor. Sure, we pay them with pets and food, but not many pooch’s are banking. Once Lucy (my puppy) helped the Portuguese fishermen by swimming out, and with her mouth, bringing back the full fishing net. Not really in the cat wheel-house. Today, most dogs are for companionship, but not all.
I’ve been fascinated with genetics and a lot of my work revolves around the idea of information, how it is passed from one to another, and when does it become a story.
