A wide wonderful view from The Whitney Museum massive glass window. I was there with my older brother, a city planner whose architectural interest has impacted my understanding of buildings as they relate to us. Therefore, it was quite a natural leap for CUP #178 to be The Whitney’s framed masterpiece of man’s New York City’s West Village.
Below were the bustling people walking on the converted railroad tracks. As if my POV were an aerial time-lapse footage, I imagined the transformation from the bustling meat packing district—at the time when meat was being packed—to it's current configuration of NYC's West Village neighborhoods.
The Witney’s Masterpiece, #178 CUP, digital print, August 26, 2021.
The image was used in my Coffee Cup Collection on both the 10z and 15oz of Cup 178, 179, 180, 181. When you stack them together they create a 360 cityscape.
This print is a minimal and chic way to elevate your space. The artwork stands out from any angle as the matte museum-quality paper diffuses the light.
